Before TitleWorks issues a policy, we conduct a comprehensive search of public records, maps, and documents, dating back to the original government land grants (records that have been maintained and indexed by legal description in our Tract Index). Only after a complete examination of the appropriate records is performed, do we issue a policy insuring the condition of title. In our industry, if a search has been done properly, we prevent claims.
